Main Purpose
Reporting to the Relationship Manager, the role holder is responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships, maximizing business levels, service and profit performance in Business Banking. The role holder is also responsible for supporting the Head of Business Banking in the development of Business Banking business strategy and customer risk mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and grow customer relationships and identify opportunities in those relationships for Access Botswana and the wider Group and to work on those opportunities to their successful conclusion
- Identify business requirements in respect of the product and solution requirements needed to satisfy customer needs and requirements.
- Perform regular customer visits and keep abreast with developments in various markets and industries that customers operate in.
- Market the Bank’s products which include short term loans, cash advances, bankers acceptances, offshore facilities, guarantees, trade finance services, call and term deposits
- Provide overall Support to Relationship Managers in Administrative duties to do with Client engagements, Portfolio management, monitoring and controls, proactive risk management and compliance.
- To enhance profitability of portfolio by ensuring fees collections, product uptake and utilization and enhanced wallet growth
- To support Relationship Management teams by assuming portfolio responsibilities in their absence for seamless customer service and business continuity
- Attain product utilisation and income levels in line with the budget
- Monitor account performance and facility utilization, and produce weekly & monthly reports on excesses and arrears on customer accounts
- Adhere to the Bank’s Credit Policy Framework on all customer accounts.
- Participate actively in business development meetings by updating the business on new developments regarding challenges and opportunities existing in our business.
- Generate proposals to increase the value of the Business Banking and Treasury portfolio through the identification of new products, potential alliances and leveraging off Group product and service capabilities
Key requirements
- Minimum 3 years of banking experience
- Business Banking customer-facing experience
- First Degree in finance, accounting or commerce, or related
