Gaborone: Following its previous listing on the Botswana Stock Exchange Limited (BSEL) in December 2018, BancABC has widened its product and service offerings to broader Botswana by introducing four Service Centres in Letlhakane, Ghanzi, Molepolole and Kanye. Of the four Centres, Kanye and Molepolole are now open for business, with Ghanzi and Letlhakane openings to be opened before close of this first quarter (Q1).

As part of the promise to investors and customers following the BSEL listing, BancABC promised to direct direct some funds towards improving our IT infrastructure. As a result, and in continued efforts to improved its bouquet of offerings, BancABC in December 2018, underwent a core banking upgrade, which was then closely followed by a system migration which was completed in February 2019.

The Bank’s Country Head of Marketing and Communications, Polelo Kilner said, “Among the elements in our 2019 strategy, is our aim to transform our customers’ experience, and key to this, is making our products and services more accessible. The Service Centres are a testament to our being on the right track regarding fulfilling a critical element of our strategy”.

The two new locations are the first in a series of four centres to be opened in Q1 2019, which will also include Ghanzi and Letlhakane. Aside from cash transactions, the Centres will allow customers in the said areas, access to the following services:

  • Current Account Opening
  • Savings Account Opening
  • Card Collections
  • Statements
  • Mobi and Online Banking Registration
  • BancAssuarance Products
  • Vehicle Asset Finance Applications
  • Home Loan Applications
  • General Enquires
